So, that brings us to the end of Windies' short tour of Zimbabwe. There was stiff competition between the two sides but eventually, the lack of exposure showed in the hosts' performance although they salvaged pride in this game in a big way. Jason Holder: "(On his first international series win as captain) It feels really good, the guys have put in a really good effort. Since a while, we have done well but not been able to get across the line in an entire series. Credit goes to the entire team for their efforts. (On not closing out this game) Obviously disappointed not to bowl them out twice. The conditions were really tough, they batted really well as well. The DRS errors didn't help but that is how the game works. It evens things out eventually. Zimbabwe played some really good cricket throughout the series and I would like to commend them for it. Hopefully they can keep it going. It wasn't easy at all, credit to Cremer and his boys. Their spinners kept the pressure on us. (On the DRS challenge) It is difficult, I remarked to many about the Hawk Eye cameras, sometimes ball tracking shows differently from what we feel with the naked eye. We just have to go with our judgement, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. (Future of the team) The team is going in the right direction, we will have a training camp in Australia before going to New Zealand. The tour won't be easy at all, so it is important for us to adjust properly and get fit physically as far as mentally."

Devendra Bishoo, Man of the Series: "Very happy. After England, it was good here and I made the most out of it. The second Test pitch was slower than the first one. The ball wasn't spinning much as the first game. I keep on working in the nets on my variations, especially the googly. It is just a matter of time before everything comes out well. I am looking forward to New Zealand."

Sikander Raza, Man of the Match: "I think we put huge emphasis on our fitness and to take it seriously. That has shown in our performances and it is nice to see our focus being rewarded. (On being just the 2nd player to have two 80s and a 5-fer in a Test) I wasn't aware of that to be honest. To have your name next to the legend of the game is quite humbling. I am lost for words to be honest. It is a really proud feeling. We have a Test match in December, I had an awful first Test match and I am glad I came back well. It was something my teammates expected and I expected as well. To come back personally so well and also as a team gives us a huge confidence. (On the DRS errors) I said to skipper that there is no chance that I'm going up for a review anymore, it is the keeper's call."

Graeme Cremer: "It feels good, coming from behind in a lot of this Test match. We were behind on the second and third day, today as well. Feels good to know that we are a team that will fight till the end. Lot of positives. We dropped a few catches, which obviously doesn't help. The wicket wasn't doing as much as we thought it might but dropped catches never help. Nobody wants to put catches down but that cost us. (On DRS errors) The biggest challenge in our team is that everyone wants to take the review as soon as they hit the pad. There has to be some thought on it, perhaps more confidence needed from the keeper. It will improve as we play more. (On Raza and Chakabva) Raza was exceptional, especially with the ball. It wasn't his job to come up and take five. He was supposed to do the holding job but ended up proving to be our most effective bowler. Just shows what a great all-rounder he is. Just getting better and better. Chakabva was under pressure going into this game, was short of runs and it was really nice to see him come good. We have got more than just 1-2 players putting their hands up and that is a good sign going forward."

It was a Masakadza ton along with a fifty from Raza that rescued Zimbabwe in their first innings on a track that had help for the bowlers but got slower as the game progressed. West Indies bowlers shared the spoils quite evenly. In response, Powell and Shai Hope put on a stand that gave them substance but a collapse saw them reeling at 230/7. Raza was in the action with the ball too, taking a 5-fer with an incredible spell. However, a historical double century stand between Holder and Dowrich saw the tourists take a hefty lead with both of them scoring tons. The way the visitors started with the new ball yesterday, it seemed like one-way traffic but Zimbabwe showed tremendous grit to salvage a draw. All in all, a really riveting Test series with both sides exchanging punches. Hang on for the presentations.

Zimbabwe can be mighty proud of this effort. They were staring down the barrel yesterday when they lost 4 wickets quickly with the deficit still sizable but didn't they fight back or what! Raza was the saviour once more and found a good ally in Moor as the duo put on a fine stand that took the game into the final day. Chakabva and Cremer joined in the blockathon to further grind a Windies attack that became defensive sooner than one would have wanted them to. Take no credit away from the hosts though, they were brilliant today and dealt with the situation nicely. First series win outside home for WI after five years and the first draw for Zimbabwe in last 27 Tests.
